You know the routine. You come in for an oil change, and twenty minutes later someone's standing in the waiting room holding a dirty air filter, doing a little sad face about it. That's not a service. That's a sales floor.
At Green Drop, every oil change is a full-service oil change. The engine air filter, the wipers, the bulbs, the fluids, the tire rotation — we check all of it, and whatever actually needs doing gets done. Not as an upsell. Not as a package upgrade. Just as the oil change.
No tiers. No good-better-best. No asterisk that turns out to be the actual price. It takes longer than a ten-minute quick lube, because we're doing about ten things instead of one.
Our Oil Has Already Had a Life
We use high-quality re-refined motor oil. It's reclaimed from used oil, cleaned back up to full spec, and certified by the American Petroleum Institute to meet the same standards as oil pulled fresh out of the ground. Your engine cannot tell the difference. The planet very much can.
It takes roughly 85% less energy to produce. One gallon of used oil makes 2.5 quarts of new motor oil — doing that from crude takes 42 gallons. We drain your old oil into a closed-loop recycling system so it goes back into that stream instead of being burned for fuel or landfilled. It's part of why we were one of the first shops in Oregon to earn the DEQ EcoBiz certification.
Prefer synthetic? We stock full synthetic and synthetic-blend options too. We'll recommend what matches your vehicle's spec and driving patterns, and we'll never upsell you into the more expensive oil if your car doesn't need it.
Every Oil Change Includes All of It
Whether you're a member or not. Membership changes what you pay, not what we do.
- Oil and filter — your choice of re-refined or full synthetic, with an OEM-grade filter
- Engine air filter — checked every visit, replaced when it needs it, at no extra charge
- Wiper blades
- Burnt-out exterior bulbs
- All your fluids topped off — coolant, washer, power steering, brake
- Tire rotation
- Tire pressures set to spec, TPMS reset
- Cowl cleaned out — that's the vent tray under your windshield, and in Portland it's full of fir needles
- Floorboards vacuumed
- A full multi-point safety inspection, written up green, yellow and red
Wiper and bulb coverage is capped at a reasonable replacement value. Specialty and LED assemblies are quoted before we touch anything, because surprising you with a bill would rather defeat the point.
We'll Still Tell You What Your Car Needs
Here's the thing about including everything: it means we have nothing to sell you at pickup.
So when our tech does find something on the inspection — a brake pad getting thin, a bolt in your tire, a leak that's about to get expensive — you're getting a finding, not a pitch. We'll show you, explain it in actual English, and tell you what's a safety issue, what can wait until spring, and what's honestly just a nice-to-have. Then you decide. That's the whole conversation.
