How A/C Systems Fail
Nearly every A/C performance complaint comes back to one of three causes: refrigerant leaking slowly past an O-ring or seal, a failing compressor unable to build pressure, or a condenser blocked by road debris. Less commonly: electrical faults in the compressor clutch circuit, cabin filter plugging airflow, or evaporator freeze-up from a faulty expansion valve.
A proper A/C diagnosis requires a refrigerant-recovery machine, a UV dye check, a manifold gauge set, and someone who actually understands pressure behavior. Not a "top it off and hope" approach.

A/C Performance Diagnosis
Weak cooling, warm-vent complaints, intermittent cooling, electrical faults. We measure actual system pressures, test the compressor clutch, check refrigerant charge, and pinpoint the root cause before recommending repair.
Leak Detection and Repair
Refrigerant leaks are almost always slow — past O-rings, at connection fittings, through the condenser, or at the compressor shaft seal. We use UV dye and electronic leak detectors to find the source, then replace the failed seal or component.
Refrigerant Recharge
After repair, we pull a deep vacuum (removing moisture and air), verify the system holds vacuum, then charge to the exact manufacturer specification — measured by weight, not pressure. Works for R-134a and R-1234yf systems.
Compressor and Component Replacement
Compressor failure, condenser damage, evaporator replacement, expansion valve service. Major component work usually includes a receiver/drier replacement and full system flush — we do it once, correctly.
Cabin Air Filter
