Before Your Visit
Welcome to Green Drop Central
Where it all started: A converted WWII textile factory in the Central Eastside Industrial District that we’ve called home for over 15 years.
1417 SE 9th Ave, Portland, OR 97214 · (503) 236-7767 · Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm

Getting Here + Parking
- Our entrance is on SE 9th Ave. Reach the lot from SE Madison St or SE Hawthorne Blvd, then pull through the gate on SE 9th.
- Park in any customer space. There’s room along the fence on the right (north) side.
- Lot full? Pull in and park in front of a bay door on the north side of the container. Still nothing? SE 9th Ave street parking works (the west side of SE 9th is free for 2 hours; the east side is paid with no time limit).
- Check in inside the colorful shipping container building out front. If nobody’s there, just walk right into the garage and check in at the desk to your left.
Once You're Here
- You'll meet your check-in specialist. They'll go over the details of your visit and do a quick walk-around of your car with you, so we capture everything about it and anything you want us to pay special attention to.
- You'll get a rough timeline. Most visits run at least a half day — good service takes time.
- We’ll call to review our findings. Once our technicians finish their inspection, our service team calls to walk through what they found. You’ll decide how you want to proceed, and nothing happens until we get your ok.
- We keep you posted. During your service, we may reach out with updates. You can always call or text us if a question pops up in the meantime. As soon as your car is done, you’ll hear from us.
- We walk you through it at pickup. Everything we did, answered questions, before you head out.
While You Wait
Good cars take time — expect to leave yours for at least half a day. While you wait, grab a coffee or try a new food truck:
Hawthorne Asylum Food Carts: 1–2 blocks
1080 SE Madison St — right off the same street our lot fronts. A full food cart pod for lunch — the carts start opening late morning, so it's a better pick if you're here into the afternoon.
Honey Latte Cafe: 0.2 mi
1033 SE Main St — a few blocks over, good for settling in with a laptop.
Push x Pull Coffee Roasters: 3 blocks
821 SE Stark St — good espresso, quieter than downtown.
Looking for more?
Hawthorne Blvd retail strip: ~1+ mi
Powell’s Books on Hawthorne, plus a full run of shops and restaurants. Just a quick rideshare (or a brisk 20-minute walk) east.
