Finnish-made and originally engineered for Nordic winters — Nokian actually invented the winter tire back in 1934 — they're uniquely suited to the cool, wet climate of Portland and Vancouver. Mild winters, long rainy seasons, the occasional ice event: it's the exact weather profile Nokian was designed for.

We also stock and source Michelin, Continental, Cooper, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Pirelli, Yokohama, Firestone, Falken, Hankook, and BFGoodrich. We source from multiple suppliers to get you the right tire at a fair price — not the tire with the biggest margin for us.

We stock a focused selection of common sizes on-site, rather than a warehouse of random inventory we'd push on you. For anything else, we source through our Portland distributor network — most tires arrive within 24 hours, often same-day.

Our Road Hazard Warranty Covers:

Free flat tire repair at any Green Drop Garage location (or up to $35 reimbursed if you're more than 25 miles from a shop)

Tire replacement if your covered tire is unrepairable — 100% of purchase price within the first 25% of treadwear, prorated after that

Coverage lasts 1 year from the date of tire purchase

Applies to passenger, performance, and light truck tires purchased from Green Drop

Not covered: commercial use, racing, off-road damage, studs/chains, vandalism, or accident damage

Tire Services We Offer

New Tire Installation

We mount, balance, and install new tires on all makes and models. Old tires get responsibly recycled — we handle disposal.

Wheel Alignment

If your car pulls to one side, the wheel is off-center, or you see uneven tread wear, it's time for an alignment. We'll get your wheels pointing straight so your new tires actually last.

Tire Rotation

Regular rotations extend tire life by distributing wear evenly. We check tread depth and pressure every time, and members get free rotations with every service visit.

Flat Repair

Picked up a nail? If it's a repairable puncture, we'll patch or plug it — often while you wait. If it's not safely repairable, we'll tell you straight up. (Covered free on tires purchased from us.)

Why Green Drop Garage Uptown?

Uptown is our fastest-turnaround shop on NW 20th Ave, serving Nob Hill, the Alphabet District, the Pearl, Slabtown, Goose Hollow, Downtown Portland, and South Waterfront. We run tight, we run honest, and we'd rather send you out the door with another season on your current tires than put you in a set you don't need yet.

Heads-up on parking: street parking on NW 23rd and the surrounding blocks is tight, so pull into an open bay or the driveway for check-in and we'll take it from there. NW driving is short urban hops plus the occasional 26-to-coast or Sunset Highway run, which tends to favor a quiet touring all-season or a Nokian weather-line set for most of our customers.
